This is an intense and vexing vintage for the Red Paw, a Pinot Noir of delicacy in constant search for the right...

A perplexing pinot from a warm vintage: fairly deep colour and high alcohol (13.5%), but with modest fruit and bitterness on the palate, along with some trademark Coyote's Run funkiness. Certainly still drinkable, but there is a distinct lack of balance in this wine. Pity.
A funky style Pinot that will only please a certain palate
Description: Light garnet in colour with a medium+ intense nose. This wine features dusty old wood, cherry, barnyard, figs and mushrooms. Medium body with mild tannins, good acidity and a fairly long length.
Negatives: None
Interesting Note: Lightly chill and serve in a Balloon style glassware
Drink now on its own or pair it with Duck Breasts with Port, Fig and Shallot Sauce.
