Semi-opaque, with a still ruby centre although some garnet is making an appearance especially at the edges. Good Italian Brunello typicity here, with some funky, gamey, earthy aromas (a touch of brett?), red drying fruit, herbs, anise, baking spice, leather, tobacco, iodine, oily minerality. Medium-full bodied with a bitter, savoury late palate, higher acidity and dusty, still grippy tannin. Very long, with a bit of a burn. Nov. 2015.
