This is a very nicely done, refreshing and quite intense Rueda. Loads of citrus and under-ripe tropical (passionfruit, papaya) and herbaceous notes that might lead one to think this is a very ripe sauvignon blanc or slightly oaked. It's mid weight with zippy acidity with the intense fruit shining through, along with some spicy notes. There's a slight bitterness on the finish that is a bit unpleasant, though it's hard to complain about something this tasty in this price range. Grab a couple before summer is done. Tasted August 2014
