Very good spicy taste. I really enjoyed it. Used during Wine Cheese dinner.
Nose: Cranberry, raspberry, mint. A hint of smokey pine.
Palate: Mouth-watering cranberry with a touch of smokey earthiness and a thin underlay of fine tannins. Sweet and tangy with good acidity. Medium bodied.
Good on it's own or with food. In this case Spinach, basil & tomato salad with feta, bocconcini & Parmigiano-Reggiano with balsamic vinegar and olive oil...no white wine with this salad...i ran out of Chianti and tried this instead. Surprisingly perfect, as if I sprinkled dried cranberries on the salad.
Nice wine at a nice price.
