The 2011 Malivoire Courtney Gamay, aged in French Oak (1/3 new) for 12 months, has intense aromas of pomegranate, raspberry and subtle vanilla and wood as well as light minerality. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; BALANCED with refreshing acidity, refined tannins and a medium finish. Though made to be combined with food, one can enjoy this wine on its own; drink now – 2018. My impression: quite NICE, 89 pts – recommended for its quality. Was featured at both Cuvée Grand Tasting and Cuvée en Route. Tasted Mar/14 at Cuvée en Route http://grapeselections.com/cuvee-2014/
