2012 is another good vintage for this super value red from the south of Italy. Expect a mild nose of black cherry...
This offers good complexity, weight and gumption for a $7 wine. It's unabashedly sangiovese with sour red...

I know these ratings are supposed to reflect if a wine is a perfect example of the varietal etc. but what I know is that I love this wine and that's how I rated it. It is delicious and my new favourite wine. It is dry without tasting dry and soft with black cherry as the standout flavour note. I haven't tried it with a meal but I liked it very much on its own and with dark chocolate so it strikes me as versatile and I think it will appeal to most palates. So tasty and only $7.75!
Wow. We were greatly surprised at the enjoyment of this wine. For the money it may become more than an everyday wine for us even. Very pleasant aroma and perfect with dinner. I am not a fan of very dry wine so this was perfect
