A wonderful wine for the BBQ, and offers great value for money. The 2011 Sein is a blend of 60% Monastrell and 40% Syrah and delivers a good portion of cassis, dark raspberries, red string licorice and black pepper. The acids are just fresh enough with the tannins playing a low role. Notes of camphor and black currant tea will allow for a lot of variation in food pairing from the grill. The Southeast portion of Spain is a good spot to throw down some bucks for wines that offer supple palates and dark fruits for not a lot of cash.
