The 2012 Bonterra Chardonnay, an organically grown Chard that was partially (70%) aged in French and American oak barrels for 8 months, has appealing aromas of lemon, yellow apple, lees and subtle oak/vanilla. It is a medium bodied, dry, fruity wine; with good acidity and a medium, lightly oaky and crisp finish. It is food friendly; drink now – 2016+. My impression: NICE, 88 pts. Tasted Dec/13 at iYellow Cave.
