Perhaps my liking for this wine draws from the fact that I've had far too many exaggerated bottles of Pinot Noir from the US. This example does not fit that description. It is light to medium in body with aromas of ripe red fruit, a touch of earth, and some vanilla. Clean to taste; surprisingly light, with a touch of sweetness though to the spicy finish. Tasted April 2012.
