Classy, intense, powerful, beautifully balanced and well-structured Brunello here, with abundant reserves of depth...
Refined Brunello here with many years yet up its sleeve. Although quite traditional in style, it shows above average...
This is maturing but it is still holding a good core of ripe cherry fruit with some leather, earthy, chestnut notes...

Fully mature now, but not over-the-hill by any means....in fact, this is still a vibrant Brunello. Aged in large Slavonian oak vats, this leans toward the traditional style of Brunello. which is a good thing in my view. Fruit is still vibrant red cherry, now leaning a bit more to dried fruits than it might have in its youth. Good complexity and length and still a bit of tannin on the finish. Excellent at nearly 20 years of age! Tasted June 2026.
After one small glass of this wine, my opinion was this is amazing, so rich and full of flavour. Then tragedy, a glass fell out of our cupboard and broke the caraffe, and the rest of the wine was lost. In the spirit of getting back on the horse after falling off, we bought another bottle. It was very good, but just not quite as amazing. I don't know if different bottles vary that much, or we did not have a proper caraffe (any more). Maybe it really just needs more time to age.
