Simi Cabernet Sauvignon 2007, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County

Buy it at this very good price, but put it right into the cellar. It’s a slim, sinewy quite tannic almost Bordelais...

This ruby-red Cabernet Sauvignon gains further complexity through the and from the 14 months it spent in oak. Aromas of black berry, cedar, chocolate & violets with rich flavors of chocolate, black cherry, cedar, vanilla bean & mocha. Complexed wine with long finish. Good on its own or steak.

At first I wasn't all that excited, I expected more as I have had Simi Cabs before. With decanting and time to breathe this wine was exactly what I waited for to come out, big bold cab.
