I've admired both the wines and the underlying philosophy of Emiliana since my wife and I enjoyed a visit to the winery in 2013, on one of Steve Thurlow's tours. This is a great example - you would be hard-pressed to find a better pinot noir at this price point from anywhere in the world. It pours pale and limpid, with an attractive fruity nose with flowery and herbal notes. It's smooth and refreshing on the palate, with little noticeable oak and a quite decent finish. Also welcome is the lack of alcohol heat, thanks to the modest declared 12.5% ABV. A 5-star value in my book. Tasted May 2026.
