Bought this wine on a whim, I seem to recall. A blend of a couple of Sicilian varieties (Frappato and Nerello Mascalese). Not a heavy or full bodied wine, this is quite ripe and simple. My quibble with the wine is the sense of sweetness on the finish. Indeed, after tasting this, I looked it up on the LCBO website which reports 8g/L RS. Was it really necessary to have this much residual sugar? I recommend chilling the wine a bit to tame this and trying with something of the bbq with a sweet sauce. For near term consumption.
