This is a very fullbodied red with an expressive nose of blackberry fruit, oak spice, beeswax, mint and chocolate....

Has a very intense ruby colour. The nose is explosive, but straightforward, with black fruit, generous vanillin oak, and that touch of mintiness characteristic of the region. Weighs a ton on the palate with black plum leading the forefront and tones of spices - cinnamon, cracked black pepper, and clove in the background. Can be enjoyed now and it's structure should hold into the near future. (Jan 5, 2010)
