Simple but pleasant and fruity entry level Rhône red, with ripe, almost raisined fruit character and soft round...
This is nicely ripe, fairly soft young Rhone with good colour depth. The nose is plummy and cherry-like with some...

Nothing special here.
Nose and taste had what I can best describe as over ripe fruits. (Strawberry and plum).
Tasted: Feb. 2010

Almost no nose whatsover. Taste a little rough and a little too much tannins even for a wine this young. Flavours are not subtle and hit the palate like a blockbuster bomb. Drinkable, but would spend a little more for better quality.
Sometimes, even frequently, the Cotes-du-Rhone provides great value in the under-$15 range. Unfortunately, this is not one of those times. Odd flavours which indicate either overripe or poorly handled/sorted fruit. Soft, with virtually no structure. Drink ASAP or if you haven't opened your bottle, return to the store and spend a few extra $$$ on something better.
