Domaine Nicolas Maillet Mâcon Verzé 2014, Mâcon
Burgundy, France$30.75
Very pale yellow colour. Fresh minerals on the nose. Nice soft dry white here with a beautiful well-balanced mix of floral and mineral on the palate. One of the best whites I've tasted.
M. Chapoutier Bila Haut Occultum Lapidem 2015, Ac Côtes Du Roussillon Villages Latour De France
Languedoc, France$26.95
Tessellae Carignan Vieilles Vignes 2014, Côtes Catalanes
Languedoc, France$18.95
Flowers and herbs on the nose. Tea, flowers, spice and smoky minerals on the palette. Dense, complex, juicy and full bodied. Delicious wine.
Gancedo Xestal Mencía 2010, Do Bierzo
Spain$13.25
Dark purple and opaque. Full bodied with very good length. Oak, resin, chocolate, dark berries, and hints of cinnamon. The fruit does tend to fade behind the chocolate and oak resin somewhat, which is fine by me. Great value for this much flavour.
Lionel Osmin & Cie Malbec 2012, Ac Cahors
Southwest, France$16.95
Dry earthy minerals, dried flowers, and violets. Dusty tannins.
Clos Gebrat C G + 2014
Priorat, Spain$15.75
Savoury, meaty, thick and smooth wine. Vanilla and cherry up front followed by a burst of chocolate on the end. Pleasantly complex and bold. Really excellent.
Domaine De Beaurenard Rasteau 2014, Rasteau
France$29.95
Dark cherry colour. Sour cherry and dark chocolate on the nose and palate. Secondary flavours of spice and minerals on palate. Tannins are fleshy but not overpowering. This wine is smooth and delicious with a long satisfying finish.
Château Pesquié Terrasses 2014, Ac Côtes Du Ventoux
Rhône, France$17.35
Nice dark red colour. Light fresh notes of ripe berries and spice on the nose. Medium bodied and very fresh with nice light tannins. Sour cherry, pepper, and lavender on the palate. Really delicious all on its own.
