I am an artist and I also love to cook and drinking wine. Wine is my passion. I have lived in Europe 13 years and I was lucky enough to have such wonderful wines at much cheaper prices then Canada. My fav wines are from Piedmonte Italy (I adore the Nebbiolo grape: Barolo and Barbaresco wines. I also love Barbera D'Alba and D'asti. Wonderful and very affordable. These are often my weekday wines..lol. I also LOVE, respect and adore wines from the Bordeaux Region. I love the wines from the Haut Medoc: The Cru-Bourgeois, St. Estephe, Paulliac, Margaux and I also really love St. Emillion, Pommerol wines from Graves. I love them all. I also enjoy the satellites of St. Emillion: Lussac, Montagne, St. Georges and Puisseseguin. You can find these wonderful wines at lower costs then St. Emillion.

Very nice but Not my fav Barolo. Not sure what the taste was at the end - The licorice - cassis taste. but I do not really favour that one.
Château Faizeau Vieilles Vignes 2009, Ac Montagne Saint émilion
Bordeaux, France$25.00
I enjoyed this wine veru much. For the price I bought quite few. Excellent wine from the St. Emillion satelittes. Wonderful fragrance. Strong tannins and a nice length. I think it will even better as it ages. When I see this wine in the Vintages I buy it.

Its medium bodied and it has a nice medium tannins. It has has a nice long finish. Good to the last. I highly recommend. I went today and bought 12 more bottles. It is a very worth purchase for sure!

Château Faizeau Vieilles Vignes 2008, Ac Montagne Saint émilion
Bordeaux, France$24.00
Really nice one...but a bit pricey for what is being offered. had some other beautiful vintages I thought were better - i.e Chateau Timoulet St. Emillion Grand Cru - which was better.
Château Trimoulet 2008, Ac St émilion Grand Cru
Bordeaux, France$24.95
I just bought this one the other night and I loved it. For the price I thought it was just fantastic. I will be going to be buy more. The LCBO agent said he did not think it was Grand Cru and I have to disagree with him. It had wonderful colour, smells of plums, mocha, spice and some vanilla too. It was a wonderful body and robust with nice tannins and a nice long finnish. MMM good to the last drop. My husband and I really enjoyed this one. And the price..what a gem...will buy more to let them age more
Marchesi Di Barolo Barbaresco 2008, Docg

Really enjoyed this one. Bought up all the bottles I could at my LCBO. Great price too for the quality! Medium-plus bodied wine with delicious ripe red fruit flavors along with some tobacco flavors! A must try for sure!
Cantina Terre Del Barolo Vinum Vitae Est 2004, Docg
Piedmont, Italy$29.95
Rarely do I see many Barolos under $30.00. I was impressed and thought this one was a great quality wine. Medium body with a wonderful bouquet. Currant, cherry, leather. Nice dry tannin. I will buy a few more to enjoy during the week..lol. I like to keep my better bottles for weekends and special evenings
Frescobaldi Nipozzano Chianti Rùfina Riserva 2007, Tuscany
Tuscany, Italy$21.95
It an average wine. I personally find it rather pricey for what you get. I much rather have a wine from Piedmonte. You can have a lovely Barbera D'Alba or D'Asti (DOCG) for often less the 16$ and they were better. Chianti wine in my opinon are over rated and over priced
Antiche Terre Ripasso Valpolicella 2008, Doc
Veneto, Italy$17.95
Was very surprised with this one for the price. A real gem! Enjoyed it very much and at that price..wow. Went back to buy more they were sold out. I can see why. Was way better then the Valpolicella superiore ripasso classico I tried at 18.95.
