13th Street Premier Cuvée Sparkling 2013, Traditional Method, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$39.95
Clean fresh and tangy
Condado De Haza Crianza 2006, Do Ribera Del Duero
Spain$24.95
Well made, lots of fruit left and virtually no colour change. Cork disintegrated on removal but managed to keep it out of the wine. These Spanish wines never disappoint and even the crianzas can age quite well.
Emiliana Coyam 2011, Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$29.95
Really well made, lots of colour little sediment. Fruit hanging in there.
Osoyoos Larose Le Grand Vin 2006, VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$44.95
Big and beastly,
2nd bottle: decanting for 2 hrs really opened this up, more aroma and flavours
Couple years on and lost most of the fruit and settled into the mature Bordeaux flavours
Rocca Di Castagnoli Chianti Classico 2011, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$19.95
Gave a little time to open up and it’s really singing.
Norman Hardie Niagara Unfiltered Chardonnay 2009, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$39.00
Real experience with this one, at first the smell was really funky and I thought it would be undrinkable but 30 mins of air time really helped it open up and it was a delight to drink
