Sumptuous, complex, delicious, evening euphoria...it's just really good. All things that a Zin should be. Eager to try the 2010.

Ontañón Crianza 2010, Doca Rioja Bottle
Ontañón Crianza 2010, Doca Rioja

A good value from the Rioja Region. I would purchase again, but not a full case. The Marques de Riscal (32656) is so much better it has spoiled me, but it is also 7$ more. Worthwhile but not enchanting.

Just recently exploring South American Cab Savs. Recently I have been enjoying a similarly priced bottle from Chile:Perez Cruz. This wine seems even smoother and is more lush and fruity.

Did not find this Juicy or Silky, perhaps I did not decant it long enough, found it harsh, bitting, stringent, was prepared for something very easy drinking and was disapointed.

Emiliana Adobe Reserva Merlot 2011, Rapel Valley Bottle
Emiliana Adobe Reserva Merlot 2011, Rapel Valley

Just good. The review saying that it tastes like a basic Niagara and is a bit hollow is spot on. The aroma is not so great, sorta like bad body odour....like a bad Sauvignon Blanc odour. Finished the bottle, taste is good, but would not purchase again based on poor aroma!

Awesome for this price point, worth the few extra dollars from the basic bottle (yellow label)

Michele Chiarlo Gavi Le Marne 2009, Docg Bottle
Michele Chiarlo Gavi Le Marne 2009, Docg

If you like Pinot Grigios but are looking for something with more "oomph" but stops short of an overly Oakey/buttery chard this is a great choice ...full of life and great melon taste. Enjoy with with appetizers like shrimps wrapped in prosciutto.

My go to for a sweeter white. This is a great riesling, sweet but not overly so and well balanced with engaging citrus flavours, great for a summer afternoon on the deck!

Parducci Sustainable Red 2007, Mendocino County Bottle
Parducci Sustainable Red 2007, Mendocino County
California, Usa
$7.95

Hard to recommend,
a bit tough to drink on its own, it kind of "stings" the platae, but by the second glass it is a bit more approachable,
might be better with a meal,
again it looked great in the colorful "Casual California" LCBO booklet but it is more of a 8.99 value then the 15.10 charged.

One of my "go to wines" to have with steak. The 2008 was a little better...decant the '09 for 30 mins. This wine is very dependable and never seems to disappoint. enjoy!
