Dense garnet/ruby colour. Med. plus intensity nose of black currant, smoke, earth, dried cranberry, leather, smoked meat, and black olives.

Dry, full body, high tannin. Cocoa powder, dark cherry, black currant, tar, leather, smoked meat, and black olives. Long length.

Massive. Needs age and/or a very rare steak.

Dense, nearly opaque purple/ruby colour. High viscosity. Med. intensity nose of prunes, tobacco, vanilla, wood spice, and black currant jam.
Dry, full body, med. plus tannin. Tobacco, prunes, vanilla, cedar, and black currant jam. High alcohol, but balanced. Long length, silky mouth-feel. Very good quality.

Kilikanoon Killerman's Run Shiraz 2006, South Australia

Med. density ruby/garnet colour. High viscosity. Med. intensity nose of black olives, cooked raspberries, black pepper, vanilla, and coffee beans.
Dry, full body, med. tannin, med. acidity. Cooked raspberries, black currants, black pepper, vanilla, smoke, and coffee. Long length. Very good quality.

Intense nose of lemon, gooseberry, flint, and quince. Dry, med. body, high acidity. Palate as for nose. Crisp and refreshing.

Very pale straw colour, with a hint of pink. Low to med. intensity nose of white peach, candied citrus, red apple, and some mineral.
Dry, light to med. body, med. acidity. Red apple, white peach, orange, and grapefruit. Med. length. Drink now. Serve with salads and mild cheeses.
