Masi Serego Alighieri Possessioni Rosso 2009, Veneto
Veneto, Italy$15.00
as per reviewers comments .. Excellent
Rich ruby colour; intense aromas of dry berry fruit, earth and spice notes; dry and medium-bodied with well-balanced with round, dried fruit, raspberry and plum flavours, with spicy notes in the finish.
Blackberry, plums, coffee, spices, with some earthiness on the nose. Well-balanced on the palate, with soft tannins, crisp acidity, and dried fruit flavours. Will probably not age further, best drunk now. 88
Trius Riesling Dry 2010, VQA Niagara Peninsula

heavy taste but we don't know riesling!
Domaine Les Yeuses Les épices Syrah 2008, Vins De Pays D'oc
Languedoc, France$15.95
This is a magnificently perfumed southern French syrah with spicy, peppery undertones and voluptuous roundness of texture. (Anthony Rose, independent.co.uk, Dec. 18, 2010) . 88
Juan Gil Gos Monastrell 2009, Do Jumilla

Casillero Del Diablo Carmenere 2010

Deep garnet colour; black berry, bell pepper and touch of herbs in aroma, berry fruit and touch of mocha in flavour
Trivento Amado Sur Malbec/Bonarda/Syrah 2009, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$16.95
Dark, with a core of very ripe black currant, raspberry ganache and black licorice notes, supported by polished tannins. A raspberry note emerges more on the lengthy finish. Very solid. Malbec, Bonarda and Syrah. Drink now through 2012. Score: 90 (James Molesworth, winespectator.com, June 15, 2011) -- 89
Vicchiomaggio Ripa Delle Mandorle 2009, Igt Toscana
Tuscany, Italy$15.95
The Vicchiomaggio Castle has had a long and storied history, including playing host to Leonardo da Vinci while he was painting the Mona Lisa. Owner and award-winning winemaker John Matta has created his own work of art with this delicious wine. Graceful and complex aromas of berry, spice, cocoa and violets. The palate is dry, juicy and medium bodied, with great depth, silky tannins, and ripe fruit accented by spice. Pair with veal scallopini and put a smile on your guests’ faces.
