Norman Hardie County Chardonnay Unfiltered 2013, VQA Prince Edward County
Ontario, Canada$39.00
wow! we had this on the deck at the winery and I had to run upstairs immediately to buy a few bottles. Had it at home since, and wish I'd bought more. It's like a premier cru white burgundy at a fraction of the price. very, very, highly recommended.
Markus Molitor Riesling Spätlese 2008, Qmp, ürziger Würzgarten
Mosel, Germany$24.95
really great! awesome with stir-fry.
Loved it so much, i think I'll go visit the winery in Bernkastel-Wehlen next month.
Norman Hardie County Unfiltered Pinot Noir 2011, VQA Prince Edward County
Ontario, Canada$35.00
Tasted this on the weekend at the winery. I usually love Norman's Pinot's so wasn't surprised to love this vintage too. One of Ontario's best Pinots! It's a little lighter vintage, but has complexity and finesse. I bought a few bottles, so was happy when I looked online here to see the critics agreed with my assessment. ;)

Norm hits another home run in 2012! Quintessential PEC Pinot. I can't believe the price on this isn't climbing yet!
Alain Jaume & Fils Clos De Sixte 2005, Ac Lirac

wow! super jammy berries just jumpin' out of the glass! too bad it's all sold out now.
Domaine Du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf Du Pape 2006, Ac, La Crau
Rhône, France$99.00
Tasted at Vintages RIdeau/KingEdward Jan 31/2009.
Nice, earthy fruit here, but compared to past vintages this lacks some concentration. An excellent wine, and true to type, but a little thin and tannic for the fruit. It's not a must-have vintage for me. For the price ($73) it's not great value.
Ojai Thompson Vineyard Syrah 2004, Santa Barbara County
California, Usa$44.95
Excellent concentration, but very well balanced too.
Fontodi Chianti Classico 2007
Tuscany, Italy$36.95
Great fruit, soft tannins, nice acidity.
Excellent! Fontodi is my favourite producer in Italy.
Seresin Raupo Creek Pinot Noir 2008, Marlborough
Marlborough, New Zealand$34.25
This is an excellent Pinot. It paired well with a mushroom pasta dish Saturday. I pumped the leftovers and it tasted even better Sunday. I told my wife this was a amazingly great Pinot for $25. Unfortunately I somehow didn't get the price right. At $45 it's not so amazing - but it's still a great Pinot - and still recommended.
The Old Third Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011, Prince Edward County
Ontario, Canada$42.00
A very pretty Pinot. I tasted this at the winery on the weekend and was impressed enough to buy a bottle and support an exciting new producer in the County. I think it's a little over-priced compared to the competition though. I like Norman Hardie's 2011 Pinot Noir better, and it's priced at $35. I guess Norm should raise his prices? ;)
