This has been one of the more serious cabernets from Sonoma for a generation. It’s full bodied, dense, chewy yet loaded with perfectly ripened blackberry fruit well integrated with complex floral, cedar bough, cigar and earthy notes. It’s medium-full bodied, sinewy and dry with a touch of pine and mint on the finish. Excellent length. Best 2011 to 2020. Score – 91. (David Lawrason, www.winealign.com, June 2009)
