Michael Stickings
From a well-known Burgundy house, this is an elegant, aromatically restrained Chardonnay that opens to reveal pleasant, well-balanced notes of apple, lemon, raw nuts, vanilla, and white pepper, along with delicate hints of tropical fruit reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc, all riding on a wave of butteriness that adds to, rather than overwhelms, the complex flavour profile. It's quite mouth-coating, with tart lemon on the palate leading to citrus pith on the finish. Hardly a great value at $30, but it's very enjoyable nonetheless.
