This is from three sites in Marlborough. It has a quite delicate but fragrant nose of pure cran-raspberry and wild...
Named for Michael Seresin's first (and only) daughter, cropped at approximately 2 kilos per vine. Quite advanced...
A substantially flavourful pinot noir from Marlborough although with a typically paler colour and forest floor...

I first encountered 'Leah' when I tasted the 2004 vintage at the winery in 2006. It was a standout then, and it remains a favorite of mine today. The 2009 is drinking beautifully (alas, this was my last bottle), with gorgeous fruit and a compelling smoky/spicy character. A slightly idiosyncratic pinot, but in the best possible way.
