Domaine Des Marrans Fleurie 2011, Ac
Beaujolais
Beaujolais, France
$19.95 (324897)
Fleurie is one of the ten Cru Beajolais appellations and often thought to be the most elegant and silky. Made from 100% Gamay Noir, this is a youthful wine with bright cherry and red berry aromas, a juicy, though not jammy, palate and low tannin. 2011 was a great vintage for Beaujolais and this wine is delicious, drinkable, structured and balanced, or in other words, what more could you ask for in a wine? It is also a quintessential summer red, made for chilling and grilling, so put it in the refridgerator for a half hour before serving and enjoy with grilled pork chops on the deck. Drink now and over the next two years. Score: 90 (Janet Dorozynski, WineAlign.com, Jun 2013)Critic Reviews (2)
