Cantine Riondo Vinea Garganega 2011, Igt Veronese
Other White
Veneto, Italy
$13.95 (230656)
A late harvest but dry version of the Veneto's great garganega grape, with considerable flesh, glycerol and extract. Partial wood ageing imparts a slightly creamy-leesy texture; the palate offers plenty of pithy fruit and spiced pear-apple flavours and a pleasantly bitter grapefruit pith finish. Fine value for money, and an intriguing by-the-glass pour for restaurants. Score: 87 (John Szabo, MS, WineAlign.com, Mar 2013)Critic Reviews (2)
