Trinity Hill Homage Syrah 2009, Hawkes Bay
Syrah
Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
$80.00
I first tasted this wine earlier this year and was blown away with its finesse and intensity. 2009 was a great vintage and this Syrah, which is only produced in exceptional years, is a tribute or homage to Gerard Jaboulet, the celebrated Rhone producer. Displaying a combination of dark and red fruits and peppery spice, the wine is medium-bodied with round tannins. A very long and layered finish. Drink now or cellar for another 5 to 7 years. Score: 93 (Janet Dorozynski, www.WineAlign.com, Jan 2012) (Cult Classics Wine Co: www.ccwineco.com)Critic Reviews (1)
