Sivipa Moscatel De Setúbal 2008, Doc
Muscat
Portugal
$10.75 (246652)
Medium amber colour. Exotic nose of honey, peach jam, ripe cantaloupe, spiced tea, toffee and dried citrus peel. Full bodied, dense and richly textured, with bright acidity lending balance to the sweetness. Layered mid-palate shows a hint of burnt sugar, en route to a spicy, sweetly fruity finish. Good length. Would be a fine pairing for coffee cake, or to add a decadent zing in chai tea. (VINTAGES panel, Sept. 2011)Critic Reviews (2)

Quite basic, raisined, caramelized moscatel here, with plenty of simple, treacle flavours, high alcohol (fortified)...
