My first Dolcetto in recent memory. A beautiful wine. Fragrant, with some nice complexity. A beautiful purple in the glass. Notes of red cherry, strawberry, blackberry, leather, cigar box, white pepper, vanilla, baking spices, tomato vine, and forest floor. The palate is medium bodied with smooth tannins. Acidity is medium plus. Length is very good.

A rich and mellow wine for a Dolcetto. More on the stewed dark fruit, raisin and blackberry side. Some herbs and savoury notes as well. Lovely balance.
