15% Semillon. Perplexing and complex wine with a spicy Sauvignon-based capsicum nose dulled somewhat by well-judged but heavy oak influence. Yellow fruits with a green edge. 14.5% alcohol is well integrated. Minerality emerges on the long finish with sweet spice throughout and the high acid ensures a few years of interesting drinking. Built for rich seafood pastas with obvious saline influence. Bottles of 2007 Tokara White purchased trough Vintages are sealed by cork (really good ones), not the screwcap shown here.
