Château Pipeau 2011, Ac St Emilion Grand Cru

Smooth drinking and well rounded Château Pipeau 2011 provides a sharp, almost peppery taste when it first hits the tongue which breaks way to a rather significant flavour of cherries and black currant. Deeper tasting reveals hints of olives, woodiness, and fresh tannins, but the tannins are curbed by a mild sweetness. Also offers a clean finish with a hint of chalkiness. I feel age will only improve this. Not one to miss. Tasted December 2014.

Santa Carolina Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2011

Very good tasting for the price. Well rounded flavour, great with cheeses and dark meats.

Also tried the 2014 vintage as a nouveau and was not disappointed.

L'arjolle Sauvignon Blanc Viognier 2012, Cotes De Thongue

The existing reviews are quite accurate, I need not add anything further. Certainly worth a try.

K W V Contemporary Collection Chenin Blanc 2014, Western Cape

While Chenin Blanc is often known for its dryer qualities this variety has a notable amount of sugars still present in the mix. There is a fruity nose immediately noticeable on opening the bottle, reminiscent of green apples.

This smell persists in the taste as well, bringing a while still light and highly drinkable wine, slight sweet and acidic undertones bring more body than is normally expected.
