Studert Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese 2012
Mosel, Germany$24.95
One of the most amazing wines I've ever tasted. Sweet, smooth, and slight sparkle. Tasted December 2014.
Flat Rock The Rusty Shed Chardonnay 2011, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$24.95
Amazing Chardonnay. Tasted January 2015.
Chateau Montelena Chardonnay 2007, Napa Valley
California, Usa$72.95
Such a nice, smooth Chardonnay. Tasted December 2014.
Esser Chardonnay 2012, Monterey County
California, Usa$19.95
Don't let the screw-top deceive you: this is a premium Chardonnay. Creamy but not overly buttery, this is one of the smoothest Chardonnays I've tasted. It tastes nice when chilled, but it's smoothness really comes out as it warms a little. You'll be hard pressed to find a nicer wine at twice the price. Tasted February 2015.
Keint He Voyageur Chardonnay 2012, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$16.00
My go-to Chardonnay. Tasted for the first time on my first winery trip in September 2014. Was so impressed with this Chardonnay, especially at the price, I went back and bought a case. Tasted September 2014.
Stags' Leap Winery Chardonnay 2012, Napa Valley
California, Usa$34.95
Very smooth Chardonnay. I'm partial to unoaked Chardonnays, and the once I looked at John Szabo's review I understood why this Chardonnay stood out so much for me. Aging in 25% stainless steel was obvious over other Chardonnays, making the green apple notes jump out. One of the smoothest and nicest Napa Chardonnays I've tried. Tasted February 2015.
Keint He Portage Pinot Noir 2013, VQA Prince Edward County
Ontario, Canada$25.00
Keint-He's Portage Pinot taste like I would expect a very expensive Pinot to taste: rich smooth, not a hint of acidity, a hint of sweetness. The strawberry/cherry note is there. This is my absolute favourite Pinot.
