Versado Reserva Malbec 2009, Luján De Cuyo, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$59.95
Smelled and tasted of bad whiskey and cherry nibs. Overpriced to the point of being offensive. I am baffled by the positive critic reviews... Maybe some decanting and time would help?
Darting Dürkheimer Nonnengarten Gewürztraminer Kabinett 2012, Deutscher Prädikatswein
Pfalz, Germany$18.95
I didn't think much of it on the nose but the palate is lovely! The perfect amount of residual sugar for my tastes.
Flat Rock Cellars Twisted 2012, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$16.95
Refreshing, fun, and easy to drink! Perfect summer patio wine! Since it's so lively it's my go to choice mid winter when I need a break from all the heavy reds I've been drinking. A good wine to introduce people to who are looking to go past their 10$ Chardonnays and venture out a bit. Pleasing to novice's and more seasoned wine drinkers alike.
Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2013, Wairau Valley, Marlborough
Marlborough, New Zealand$19.95
I am not a big Sauvignon Blanc fan, but this one wasn't as offensive to me as most.
Folie à Deux Ménage à Trois Red 2012, California
California, Usa$17.00
Lacking a bit when it comes to complexity and structure, but it's easy to drink and very pleasant tasting- a guilty pleasure wine of mine. Tip- this wine is actually better slightly chilled!
Valpantena Torre Del Falasco Ripasso Valpolicella 2012, Doc
Veneto, Italy$0.00
Fairly easy drinking but whilst still retaining some character. Unfortunately it is lacking in depth, and has a bit of a sour note to it.
