Lailey Pinot Noir 2007, VQA Niagara River Bottle
Lailey Pinot Noir 2007, VQA Niagara River
Ontario, Canada
$24.95

I really enjoyed this Pinot, maybe the best i have tried from Ontario, it has a surprisingly full body compared to many i have tried, i can put it up against the Clos Jordanne and in my opinion it wins the battle hands down, Lailey is putting out some great wines, I am very happy that last time at was at the winery i picked up a 6000ml Cab Merlot one of only 5 made!

Château De Beaucastel Coudoulet De Beaucastel 2007, Ac Côtes Du Rhône Bottle
Château De Beaucastel Coudoulet De Beaucastel 2007, Ac Côtes Du Rhône
Rhône, France
$29.95

Dont be fooled by the price, this is a very refined and tasty wine, made in a typical southern Rhone style, i often here people refer to this offering as the second wine of Chateau Beaucastel which is not true! the producer is certainly the same however the coudoulet actually comes from a vineyard accross the street which is not located in the Chateneuf du pape appellation and as a result it has very similar flavours but at a fraction of the cost, i tried one bottle and liked it so much i bought 2 cases!

Stratus Red 2006, VQA Niagara On The Lake, Niagara Peninsula Bottle
Stratus Red 2006, VQA Niagara On The Lake, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada
$44.20

I disagree with some of the critics, i think that this blend is a huge success especially for the poor vintage of 2006, like most stratus offerings this wine is very complex and offers a variety of tasting experiences all in one glass, i thought the 2006 white was a bit better but still a very enjoyable Ontario red

Domaine Galévan Paroles De Femme Côtes Du Rhône 2007, Ac Bottle
Domaine Galévan Paroles De Femme Côtes Du Rhône 2007, Ac
Rhône, France
$15.00

Powerful Nose with a hint of dark fruit and strawberries, very well balanced acidity and tannins, this wine is very nice straight out of the bottle, not one for the cellar but great to drink now, could have easily rated higher depending on the specific person drinking it but i think most would agree a great value at $15, drinks more like a $40 bottle or more
