Caliterra Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2012

From the time you pour this wine it is an enjoyable wine. Fruity, ripe fruit, faint oak. Very good colour. Finish is a bit green, to be expected from an 18 month old wine under $10. Excellent value.

This is one tart and sharp Sauvignon Blanc, glad it was after an excellent Canadian made cider. The acidity stays with you until it's time for another sip yet it doesn't turn you off. Leeches and sweet pears in a light coloured body. Will definitely buy again given the right food pairing.

It is hard to believe this is not a 2011 vintage. Very light vanilla on the nose, high in tannin, over oaked. unpleasant finish, hot and overpriced.

Hint of tobacco on the nose, very fruity, excellent length, soft tannin, well made wine. I think it has ageing potential. Agreed, it is overpriced, Should be in the $13 range.
