Errazuriz Max Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Aconcagua Valley
Chile$19.05
There comes a time when you can't say you are surprised. The Colchagua valley is consistently delivering great Cab Sauvignons, and the Max Reserve from Errazuriz is one of them. The nose greets you with berries and spices, the full body delights the palate and the nicely balanced acidity and tannins wrap up a robust and very self-confident wine. I paired it with some pork tenderloin roasted with a crust of fennel, rosemary, and garlic, and it worked beautifully.
Château De Cruzeau 2009, Ac Pessac Léognan
Bordeaux, France$27.95
Went perfectly well with a roasted leg of lamb!!!
Arnaldo Caprai Rosso Montefalco 2009, Doc
Umbria, Italy$19.95
Very enjoyable, it's like a Sangiovese with a twist.
Emiliana Novas Gran Reserva Carmenere/Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Valle De Colchagua
Maipo Valley, Chile$15.95
Probably expected too much, being a fan of some great Colchagua Valley offerings. However, this is a nice, enjoyable wine, form the fruity nose to a long finish... I must say, though, that the acidity and tannins were not quite as balanced as others have found it...
Château Pierre De Montignac 2009, Cru Bourgeois, Ap Médoc

Another lovely 2009 Bordeaux!
Bodegas Altanza Lealtanza Crianza 2009
Rioja, Spain$17.95
Good for the price, albeit a lesser Rioja.
