LCBO recommended this syrah when I bought more Crozes Hermitage syrah.

Domaine De Riaux Pouilly Fumé 2009, Ac

Sauvignon Blanc (Pouilly Fume) from white wine-tasting with Faith.

Smokey with gun-flint. Heavier bodied with gentle finish. Liked it.

Joseph Drouhin Beaujolais Villages Nouveau 2011, Burgundy

like this beaujolais stuff ... wish I'd taste tested comparison with DeBeouf which (I think) I liked better.

Bottle colour and label are different.

Had at Hillsboro with Ozzie cousins, over a curried chicken dinner. OK, but a bit acidic for my tastes.

White wine tasting with Faith.

Delicate & light bodies, with faint chalk aromas and a bit of liquorice kick on the finish. Liked it.

Maison Roche De Bellene Côtes Du Nuits Villages 2008, Ac

Light fragrant Pinot Noir. Red wine-tasting with C&F and D&B. Berry aromas and supple soft tannins. Light bodied. Liked.

Montes Classic Series Sauvignon Blanc 2010, Curico Valley

Lemon/citrus & unripe/green fruit with a dusty mineral note on the nose. Almost effervescent. Long finish, like an unripe Granny Smith.

A bit too sour for me.
