Encostas De Estremoz Touriga Franca 2004, Vinho Regional Alentejano

The first thing that hit my nose was fruit, jammed fruit, followed by some nuttiness, and followed again by a little vanilla. The first sip confirmed my palate. It was truly a full mouth feel. The balance between fruit, acid and tannins puts this wine on my "must have in my cellar" list. Its a 2004 vintage, and I would not cellar it for long. Hey its already 7 years old, and I say buy and enjoy. I think it would go great with bbq meats and leave the meat flavour as simple as possible; no need for fancy sauces; just the wine.
