Kew Vineyards Estate Heritage 2014, VQA Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario

Tannins are pretty well-resolved at this point. Very raisined and almost port-like. Very tasty.
Château Mayne Vieil 2016, Ac Fronsac
Bordeaux, France$19.95
Mid-weight and very distinctively merlot. Wonderful balance here with bright acidity and a delightfully spicy finish.
Leaning Post Cuvee Winona (Merlot / Syrah) 2018, VQA, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$25.20
Wonderful red blend with a nose of plum, cherry, and peppercorn. Cherry, cedar, and plum dominate the mid-palette and it finishes with a distinctive earthiness. The earthiness fades over the course of the bottle leaving deeply satisfying ripe fruit behind. Fine tannins and a lengthy finish make this a very pleasurable wine to enjoy with red meats. Would buy again.
Nuiton Beaunoy Le Prieuré Hautes Côtes De Nuits 2018, Ac Burgundy
Burgundy, France$26.95
Good quality pinot, but a riper style than is my usual preference. Well-structured and could go another few years.
Cornerstone Pinot Noir 2016, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$32.00
Big, big pinot noir. Raisin, strawberry, roasted red pepper, and mushroom, with some meaty savour on the finish. Drink now, this is as good as it gets.
