Dr. Hermann Erdener Treppchen Kabinett Riesling 2010, Pradikätswein
Mosel, Germany$17.95
Lovely colour with some spritz, grapefruit, petrol on the nose. Beautiful fruit on the palate but a little sweet. 89pts. Second day: Still some spritz. Nice fruit and spices on the nose. Beautiful brown sugar and spices on the palate. Sweetness seems to have integrated. Almost spatlese in character. Good length. 91 pts.
Brunello Di Montalcino San Felice Campogiovanni 2005

Cherries, licorice and a bit of tar on the nose. Nicely replayed on the palate with the addition of olives and herbs and soil with soft tannins. Nice long finish.

Nice pears and nuts on the nose with great marzipan and pears repeated on the palate with nice acid lingering on the finish.

Lovely wine with old world character. Olives, earth, cedar and bark on the nose. On the palate, the earthiness repeats with olives, cappers and a hint of green(herbs). Excellent length.
